Bal de Neige 2014 - $150,000 for our Pard'ners!!
Rhinestone Cowgirls and Cowboys came from afar to join the fun for Bal de Neige 2014. As usual, we had a great time at the git together, raising funds for our partners at Wellspring Birmingham-Gilgan House and Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children. This year, we raised $100,000 with a program of dinner, live and silent auctions, and raffles. And our friends at Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation provided a $50,000 matching gift that brought our total funding for Wellspring and Lighthouse to $75,000 each.
For Lighthouse, this is the seed funding for the new building that Lighthouse hopes to build to expand and improve their service offerings to an unfortunately growing clientele. These services have a profoundly positive effect on the life outcomes for the children and families that attend. We are proud to contribute to these outcomes.
For Wellspring, this funding represents Amped for Life's effort to support the development of a pediatric program within Wellspring's suite of amazing support services to families experiencing cancer.
And the Bal continued its tradition of great friends sharing a common cause, a great meal, and night of dancing, laughs and hugs. We can't begin to express our gratitude for all of the goodwill that surrounds us. A special thank you to Stacey and Brydon Cruise for their very generous contribution to the event and to our 2 anonymous donors who so generously matched dollar for dollar, the amount raised through the Live Auction. A huge thank you as well to the numerous sponsors who so willingly offered items to our prize tables.
Thank you all for being part of it - supporters, sponsors, and beneficiaries. Together, we are making wonderful things happen.
